About Me
Hello! I'm L’aura Bradford, a nature photographer, educator, and Registered Maine Guide with over a decade experience behind the lens. What started as documenting the beauty I found while backpacking has become a lifelong pursuit of wild light, meaningful moments, and connection to the natural world.
Over the years, I’ve photographed in some of the most remote and inspiring places on earth—from the icy stillness of Antarctica to the rugged landscapes in the Arctic Circle. These days, I’m based in Maine, where I spend my time exploring the coastal cliffs, dark skies, and quiet forests of Acadia, the Bold Coast, and the North Maine Woods. I also travel frequently for photography projects, workshops, and scouting new locations.
My photographic specialties include wildlife, birds, landscapes, and nightscapes. I shoot primarily with Canon’s R5 and R5 Mark II mirrorless systems, which offer the speed and clarity I need in the field, especially for fast-moving subjects. For time-lapse photography, I continue to use my trusted Nikon D600 and D810 bodies, which are still solid systems.
Whether I’m leading a group through Acadia, coaching a beginner on a photo walk, or waiting quietly for moose in the misty woods, my approach is rooted in patience, respect, and a love for the outdoors. The best photographs come not just from technical skill, but from curiosity, fieldcraft, and a willingness to slow down and see.
Photography, for me, is both art and adventure—and I'm grateful every day to share that journey with others. Whether you're joining me on a workshop, booking a coaching session, or just browsing the galleries, I hope you find something here that inspires you to explore your own vision.
